The former house of a famous and inspiring American entrepreneur Jim Thompson is now a museum. He came to Thailand to work for the American army after World War II. He fell in love with the country, the people, and its art. He started a silk company and gave new life to the Thai silk business, making it famous throughout the world. His disappearance in 1967 still remains a mystery.
His art collection of porcelain, carvings, glassware, images and statues is now on display in his old house which is one of a few traditional Thai houses in central Bangkok.
